How I Save More Money While Shopping

What does it mean to save money when I shop? 💰

• Saving money means that you find ways to pay less money when you shop.
• Saving money means paying the best price for the things you want to buy.

During Christmas or New Year holiday period, you may have noticed a lot of stores in New Zealand and around the world are promoting special deals every year. Some of those deals are extremely attractive and some are just OK deals.

However, if you could hunt for the those deals and purchase the product online with an extra simple step, you could save even more money and make the deal even more attractive to you.

Below is how I save more money on recent boxing day’s sale: 🔥

I found this great Merchant 1948‘s boxing deal from here. – “Take an extra 30% OFF” which is quite tempting to me.

While browsing their website, I was very keen to buy this Miles Dress Court heels. 👠

If I proceed with the purchase, it would cost me $132.93 ($189.90 – $56.97) with the Extra 30% off deal.

However, I took an extra step to purchase the same heels via ShopRewards to earn extra/save extra money.

ShopRewards is New Zealand cashback website that allows you to get money back in real cash when you shop online via their website.  All you do is click through their site before shopping online just like you normally would. It is Free to sign up.

Once you login into ShopRewards site, search for the retailer – Merchant 1948.

Then, click the button – “GET CASHBACK”.

It will bring you to the homepage of the retailer then you continue to shop as normal.

For me, I proceed to add my favourite heels into shopping cart and proceed to check-out.

When making the payment, I used my Westpac Airpoints Platinum MasterCard to earn extra money in Airpoints.

$132.93 = 1.77 Airpoints Dollar

Once the cashback has been confirmed (approximately within 7 days), it will be appeared in the Payment History page in ShopRewards.
